We are delighted that you are considering Mater Dei Catholic Primary School for your child. Enrolments are currently open for Prep to Year 6 for this year and beyond.
Applications should be submitted using our online enrolment form. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the application, however, you can save the form and return to complete it at a later time. If you save your application you will be sent a link to your incomplete application, this link will remain active for 30 days.

After we receive your application, we will contact you to arrange an interview with our principal or leadership team member. Please bring the originals of your child’s documentation with you on the day of your appointment. Please note, if your application is for future enrolment e.g. two-plus years, we will contact you to arrange an interview the year preceding your child's starting year.
If applications from enrolment exceed our capacity, applications will be prioritised in the following order:
- Siblings of students attending Mater Dei Catholic Primary School
- Catholics in St John’s Wood-The Gap Catholic Parish
- Catholics outside of the Parish
- Non-Catholics
If you are applying for enrolment for more than one child, a separate application is needed for each.

Enrolment Acceptance Fee
New families who receive an offer of placement at Mater Dei Catholic Primary School are required to pay a non-refundable fee of $300 per student. Please note, $200 of this amount will be deducted from the first term fees when your child begins school.

Do I need to be Catholic to attend Mater Dei?
No, while many of our students belong to the Catholic faith, we value diversity and embrace all faith traditions. If like us, you are committed to your child’s holistic education and support the ideal of an inclusive community, your family is warmly welcomed here. All parents, however, must agree to their child being part of Religious Education lessons, school and class prayer/liturgies, and other activities or events that support the religious values and beliefs of the school.
Do I need to live in a catchment area?
No, our families come from far and wide to attend Mater Dei Catholic Primary School.
What will happen at my child’s interview?
The purpose of the interview is to you and your child to the school. We will discuss the school's vision and mission, our curriculum, pedagogy, policies, and practices. This is also a great opportunity for you to address any concerns or questions about the school in general or about your child commencing school at Mater Dei Catholic Primary School. Sibling parents are interviewed on request.
