We warmly encourage parent participation in the Mater Dei Parents & Friends Advisory Group (PFG). The PFG generally meets twice a term on the second and eighth Monday of each term, with dates advertised in the school newsletter and noted on the school's calendar, accessible via this website, the Parent Portal, and the BCE Connect App. All parents and friends in our community are invited to attend these meetings, as well as the Annual General Meeting held in February each year.
The PFG is responsible for organising tuckshop volunteers, fundraising, and social activities. Our aim is to support the school in providing a high-quality education for all students. Additionally, the PFG offers a forum for parents to discuss issues, raise funds for resources and projects, and help develop a sense of community at Mater Dei.
Events organised by the PFG include:
- Music in the Moonlight
- Mater Dei Ladies lunch
- Mater Dei Beginning of the Year Welcome event
- Mater Dei Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfast and stall
- Mater Dei Gent's get-together
Operating within the Parents and Friends Advisory Group Charter, a new PFG Executive and committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting held in February.
